Hunger Games was incredible. I couldn't put it down and I love books like that. I read Catching Fire also and I'm in the middle of Mockingjay. Good call on Paul Auster. I love him so much. He wrote a movie called "Smoke" that's really good - you should check it out.
Collins definitely has an impressive ability to write each chapter with a cliffhanger ending. :) I couldn't put the books down. I think the total number of days I spent reading all three books was under a week. :)
I am a fervent believer of reading the novel before seeing the film. I believe we owe it to the artist who created the characters and their fictional world, before the artist who interprets them to moving picture later. So, I was pleased to have managed to finish the trilogy prior to The Hunger Games opening in theatres later this month. :)
