I am weeping for the man, for the man
Words spoken, self-confidence broken
(From a child's eyes of ignorance, stated-seen
Wondering now what might have been)
I am grieving for the soul, for the soul
Something lost, at such cost
(Without intent of harm, nor wisdom enough to even say
Yet whose words were taken anyway)
I am mourning for the child, for the child
Tears are brimming, light is thinning
(Looking at the harm she committed, so long ago
Yet still haunts and hurts forever so)
